My art quilt "Goldie" won a 3rd place award at the "Contemporary Silk Painting" exhibition at Harmony Hall Regional Center in Maryland. Yay!This piece was rejected from a show last year, but has won two awards since then in other shows. Nothing major but still.... goes to show that the first "No" is not the final answer!
I'll be 'offline' for a while - I'm in Barbados for the celebration of my in-laws' 50th anniversary and my mom's 92nd birthday - I won't be spending much time at the computer!

Congrats on your win! And kudos to you for not taking that first no as being definitive. I love this piece and am so happy it won. Have fun in B'dos at the 50th and 92nd anniversaries of joy. Love to all there.
